Precarious work: is defined in ontario as having to work with low wages with no pension, no union, no insurance. In half of gta and hamilton workers in "precarious jobs" , it states precarious workers barely get benefits, receive training, have employment rights issues etc. Assembly line: is assigning a specific task to a worker that they simply repeat, until each worker repeats and completes their tasks and the product is made. It is a way of improving productivity by creating mass produced goods quickly and efficiently. This strategy was first used by henry ford in his manufacturing of automobiles. Flexible labour: describes the increase in outsourcing, subcontracting, structural unemployment, and high turnover. Casual labour: irregular employment and stream of part-time jobs. For example, having someone to do a cleaning work on your shop for a few hours who is not on your payroll.
