Document Summary

Light - hot vibrating dipole (solar) > [hot relates to the colour temperature] Wavelength max = [3. 6 x 106 nm. k] / k. Photosynthetic activity is thought about as terrestrial activity. Look at photosynthesis from 2 separate processes- dark and light reactions of photosynthesis. Light reaction- how the process of photosynthesis takes light and converts it into. In terms of photosynthesis we are thinking in terms of heat and photon emission. We are an example of a black body- particular temperature and we emit photons. With changes in temperature you see changes in how light is emitted. 2 things actually happen in changes of temperature. As you increase temperature, more and more photons released by the black body whatever it is. Also get a shift in the maximal wavelength where the maximum amount of photons are emitted. Get hotter and hotter and shorter wavelength and more photons emitted.
