Two conditions which make human law unjust (aquinas) (1) unauthorized users of power: example: provincial government creating criminal offences, that is the federal governments job (2) laws imposing unequal burdens: example: slavery laws. Teleological: everything is to be understood in terms of its proper and, purpose or telos (greek word for end) Included: natural objects (mountains), artifacts (telephone) and social institutions (laws)
