A community is not always just affected by the consumption of health services, but by their living conditions. The class, race, employment status, education, social service agencies, Aboriginal status and the environment, affects the health of an individual than anything else. However, some believe that people have control over their conditions, but that is not the case. As explained in the lecture, a study about coronary heart disease among men and death rate from different occupational level. The hypothesis was that the higher-level occupation has more heart disease because of the stress of the job. The experiment didn"t support the theory because of it evident that the less money one makes, the more he is prone to heart disease.
