W/o interference protected by the charter of rights and freedoms. Collectively we are stronger especially if you are relatively unskilled = low power. Members have a grievance process for their complaints. Unions have to act the complaints of their members. The process forces the employer to honor the terms of the collective agreement. Collective bargaining: the process whereby worker"s representatives negotiate the terms and conditions of the employment relationship on behalf of most or all of the workers in a particular workplace, company or industry. Gives workers the chance to regulate the conditions of their employment, and seek protection from market pressures. Make it the law that all large employers have to negotiate with a union Offer compulsory certification when the union can show half the members are in favour: grievance process: is part of the collective bargaining agreement. There are some steps which an employee must follow to get his/her complaint address satisfactorily.
