Ethics= concerns, dilemmas and conflicts that occur during the proper way to do research. Ethical issues include the rights of the research participants. Ethical research depends on the integrity of an individual researcher. Researchers may not be aware they are unethical. Being ethical means the research will take longer, cost more money, and more complicated. Scientific misconduct: when the researcher falsifies or distorts the data or the methods of data collection or copies other work or unethical conduct that is not accepted for conducting and reporting research. Research fraud: fakes or invents data that they did not collect, or isn"t honest on how they conducted the study. Plagiarism: stealing the ideas of writings of another or uses resources with citing. Plagiarism may be unethical but it is legal because it doesn"t break a law. Some ethical issues involve an abuse of power and trust. The researcher has a certain degree of authority and judgement that is trusted by the participant.
