Eugenics was responsible for removing the people with disabilities from society. American with disabilities act protects individuals with disabilities. Special education: a field continually evolving and changing. From historical accounts individuals with disabilities were often ostracized and treated as inferior human beings. Explanations for disability ranged from societal- survival of the fittest- to spiritual- demon- possessed.
