Gender identity: perception of yourself as male or female, starts at very young age, enforced by parents usually. Stereotypes: expectations on how people will act based on their sex, people tend to exaggerate the differences, while sociologist imply the differences are relatively small, men: strong, dominant, women: weak, emotional, nurturing, dating flipped upside down . How we do femininity: pink was considered light red until 50s, and so was considered masculine, blue=virgin mary, was considered feminine. Infantilizing women: sexualizing girlishness: being a young girl is sexy, see this in advertisements of women, how little girls learn how to pose provocatively, the media greatly advertises this.
