Karl marx- communist: economic determinism, the economic system was the most important part of society, how you produce and distribute goods. Structural functionalism and conflict theory= macro level system: symbolic interactionism= micro level. Internalizing- what we are taught by different people (don"t touch a fallen down power line: rewards and punishments, vicarious learning- watching other people, save and file info away for future reference. When we are in the presence of other people, we present a character to thoseother people. You need the audience to believe we are who we say we are. If not, the interaction will not go very smoothly.
