Massed practice- learning a lot at once; cramming; only holds memory in short term. Distributed practice- spacing out practice provides better retention. Cue- prepares you for the behavior (pointing, giving out directions) Premack principle- use a more desired activity to increase completion of a less desired activity (we can watch a movie at the end of the week if we finish all of our work) Shaping- gradually changing a behavior step-by-step and reinforcing when the behavior is changed.
