Anti-coagulant effect of warfarin may be increased. Inhibits binding of transfer rna to mrna, preventing addition of amino acids to the growing peptide chain. Blocks addition of amino acids to peptide chain. Used against bacteria residing inside host (listeria, Superinfection of bowel- black furry tongue, vag itchy, lesions. Educated about diet and reduction in effectiveness of oral contraceptives. Avoid in pts. with pre existing qt interval prolongation.
