Most people think you can"t be happy without self respect and yet people can"t have self respect if they don"t give other people respect they deserve. Respect and self respect = both same context. Proper self respect implies respecting other people. Can"t be happy being immoral because you"re not respecting people the way they want to be respected. Think they happy but they are really not. A theory making it impossible for a person to be happy is a ad, harmful, and self defeating theory by which to live. It is impossible for a person to be happy without self respect. If one disrespects oneself, one lacks self respect. Self respect = simply to establish a condition for having it. Condition: in order for people to have self-respect, they must respect themselves, and not some false conception of themselves. Have to respect who they are and not who they wish they were.
