Pacific Northwest Ballet Social Media Campaign
What social media platforms will you use and why? (How many platforms to use will be up to you. If you decide
to add one that your organization is not currently using, explain why this would be an asset to the organization
and your specific event).
The Pacific Northwest Ballet company has Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, and Instagram profiles. By using these
social media platforms along with email and other routes of communication the Pacific Northwest Ballet
company will be able to reach wide audience. PNB already uses these avenues but by also advertising this event
through the On the Boards social media we will reach a new and diverse audience. Local bars will have a
geofilter that has varying teasers and advertisements for the event. This will pique the interest of a young adult
(21-30) audience that may not be interested in the ballet However, by using the iconic sights and sounds of the
grunge era we will be able to engage.
How will your social media campaign connect to other tactics/channels in your marketing and communications
plan (ie. website, ads, direct mail, etc.)
The social media campaign will be an integral part of the overarching marketing and communications plan. By
having social media sharing and following as a part of the initial email chain this will prompt consumers to
spread the message and awareness of the event. Buttons to like, tweet, share, etc. will be on the website and any
electronic advertisement.
How will you measure success?
We will use various tracking applications to track the amount of traffic that the website gets, the amount of likes
and shares, and even people using the various geofilters.
