Document Summary

Genetic diversity unique genes across each species. Genetic diversity is a useful train in populations because of disease prevention, healthier offspring, resiliency, and flexibility. Species diversity number of species present in an ecosystem. Ecosystem diversity how abiotic factors differ around the earth, range of ecosystems we find on earth. Ecosystems are altered by humans by industrialization and agriculture. Habitat fragmentation is the creation of tiny ecosystems which is detrimental. Invasive species, overexploitation, and pollution impact biodiversity in the same way humans. Commercial farming we dig up nutrients from rock to farm which causes more to run off into the ocean. Income causes an increase in meat sales which means we need more agriculture which means we need more nutrients which equals more pollution. There are three things that play into sustainability social, environment, and economic. Almost impossible to get all three to agree.
