If you react to someone with certain reactive attitudes, they are regarded as morally responsible, no other reason for why these reactive attitudes would come about if the person was not morally responsible: his theory is incomplete. T(cid:396)a(cid:449)so(cid:374)(cid:859)s theo(cid:396)(cid:455: consequentialism- blaming and praising judgements and acts= forms of social regulation. But, our responses are typically personal reactions not societal ones. Approach is compatibilist (believes free will and determinism can co-exist without being logically inconsistent: libertarian- responsibility concerns metaphysical freedom.
