Due to technics, the attack was able to be broadcasted across the globe providing for widespread fear. Due to the space time compression created by these means of technology, these images were able to be played in real time and have now become an icon of modern day terrorism. Additionally, the increased mobility of individuals between boarders has allowed for transnational terrorism.
