Oberon and titania in a midsummer night"s dream. Act 2 scene 1 of a midsummer night"s dream where oberon is trying to make tatiana give her the indian boy shows the power struggles between both characters and their genders as well. Tatiana refuses to give him the boy out of loyalty to his mother and this only makes. Oberon angrier because he cannot get what he wants. She tries to get his mind off of it by suggesting they do something else but he would not let it go. His anger at not being given what he wants makes him want to cast a spell on. Tatiana to force her into giving in because as a king and a husband he has to find a way to get what he wants and he cannot just accept that he cannot have the boy. The boy is significant because he is the reason oberon and tatiana fight, which makes.
