Appeite: a learned psychological desire o eat whether or not we are hungry: can be triggered by taste, smell, ime of day, special occasions, proximity to fave foods. Cultural and social meaning atached to food, convenience and adverising, emoional comfort etc. Finding a balance between eaing to live and living to eat is a problem for many. Eaing 3 large meals per day combined with sedentary lifestyles results in fat gain. Our aitudes and behaviours surrounding eaing relate to how much, where, why and when food is consumed. Spain, southern france, italy, yugoslavia, greece, turkey, cyprus, crete, lebanon, israel, Palesine, egypt, libya, algeria, tunisia and morocco include bread, what products, veggies, fruits, ish, cheese, olive oil, tree nuts, walnuts and almonds and wine. Food is lavoured extensively with herbs and spices. Mediterranean diet is associated with lower coincidences of heart diseases and is protecive against cancer.
