Social cogniion: thinking about one s own thoughts, feelings, moives, and behaviors as well as those of other people. Social learning: refers to acquiring informaion from other individuals. Local/simulus enhancement: occurs when an individual noices acivity at a paricular localizaion, moves to that locaion and in a process of trial and error, discovers a useful behavior. Mimicry: duplicaion of a behavior without any understanding of the goal of that behavior. Emulaion: understanding the goal of a model and engaging in similar behavior to achieve that goal without necessarily reproducing the exact acions of the model. Imitaive learning: reproducion of a speciic behavior to achieve a goal. Neonatal imitaion: ability of newborns to imitate behavior like facial expressions. Acive intermodal mapping: the ability to integrate informaion from 2 senses. Innate releasing mechanism/ixed acion patern: inherited sets of behaviors elicited by speciic sets of simuli without prior environmental experience.
