Principle of parsimony: the simplist explanation will do. The immaterial can be experienced (uses the soul as the source of this): ie we witness. Explanation to inference: to accept evidence of something we don"t see; accept the best explained answer creativity and ingenuity. We don"t see the soul, but the evidence (behaviour) may be best explained by the soul. A materialist does not accept inference: the base their explanation on material (ie the wiring of the brain) Pg 91: terminators believe that the object doesn"t exist after death; he is a survivalist-the object survives death. On a hot day the horse dies, and the man deserts it you are mistaken that object is not my horse ; this would be what a terminator says. The horse ceases to exist when it dies. You are not dissecting a frog, a formerly living thing.
