Higher order thinking process (metacognition), which is the ability to observe and think about your own thinking and assert some control over your cognitive process: the ability to realize what your doing. Most of the time our intentions and habitual behaviour are in alignment: sometime it is not and we need to intentionally engage in higher order thinking process.
