Business unit strategy: describes how the strategy relates either to a stand-alone business or corporate entity sense. The role of strategy: strategy plays a central role of the general manager"s efforts to: sustain, establish, and monitor the direction of their business, communicates the direction of the business to others who are involves in its execution. 4pa3 chapter 2: strategy: business strategy focuses on how an organization will create values within a particular line of business, corporate strategy deals with the portfolio of business strategies and how they relate to each other. Which industries should we be competing in? : business unit strategy answers the question: how should we compete within our industry or among our group of closest competitors. Strategic goals are an expression, in measurable terms, of what a business intends to achieve or where it intends to go.
