Believed in a planned economy with rational expertise, thought capitalist economy wasn"t fair. Thought it was irrational - if you"re unhappy with the way the economy is going, you should be able to cote on things. Depression is making economies go on their knees. Taxation - ccf believed in high levels of taxation, absolutely committed to high levels of taxation would be popular if the taxes were used to support people- ex. Scandinavia - rich make money off of the money that they have, ccf said in order to reduce this unearned income is by taxing them - important to change behaviour - a way of redistributing talent. Social programs government using its resources to help disadvantaged people- things like health and safety for workers, expansion of education, public access to university. Encouraging people to see the state as something that can help them.
