Aim of article = to be a guide for scientists who want to perform science in the open. The four pillars of open science: open research data. Aka data that are freely available on the interknit allowing anyone to have access to it. Data should be submitted to a repository prior to submission of a manuscript: open software code. Refers to softward that is made available under a license that permit anyont to use, change, improve or deriving from existing source code: open access to papers.
