Begins with a participants section, then a design section (what the conditions were) then a procedures section: results. After appendices comes tables and figures: both used to present results. Empirical apa research report only one way to present research in psychology; many other ways. Review articles: summarize research on a particular topic without preseting new empirical results. Theoretical articles: when an article presents a new theory. Both are structured much like empirical research reports but do not report the results of new empirical research (so therefore, there is no method or results section) Copy manuscripts: manuscripts that are submitted to a professional journal for publication.
