Eugenics are/were settled in science and are thought of as necessary for our countries preservation. Popularized in 1890s: when it fell out of favour after ww2 most references were removed from textbooks. To do so would allow it to repeat itself". A science that deals w improvement (by control of mating) of hereditary qualities of a race or breed. Sometimes broadly describes any human action that is supposed to improve the gene pool. Negative eugenics is aimed @ discouraging reproduction among those w gene that are perceived as poor unfit. Positive eugenics is aimed at encouraging reproduction among those who are healthy, intelligent and of high moral character the genetically advantaged. Said human reproduction should be monitored or controlled by the state to improve the human race. But he knew the public would never go for that. Infanticide was popular in ancient athens to put deformed children to death.
