Public thinks it"s a sexual perversion, psych disorder: common wisdom says the sadist and masochist are mentally ill. Think one person dominates an unwilling person -both for pleasure. Fems think it is a form of cruelty personifying male/female relations of cohersion. Abnormal sex is a world apart from normal sex. Pain is not central to sm but it"s the illusion of pain they like symbolic control. The sub is not passive it"s a social and interactional activity masochist or bottom emits cues to dom about what they want to do.
