The interview is crucial to the hiring process have the opportunity of a personal dialogue to add to what the employer may already have learned from the resume, cover letter, and telephone conversations. It takes thought, planning, and strategy but it can be positive and pleasant. Interviews give the change for each side to assess each other to see if they like each other and if they are a good fit. The interview is a conversation btwn two interested and equal partners. Be sure to make your introduction warm and cordial: say full name make sure you know the interviewers name. In each response you should relate yourself to their needs: common mistake is to give too much information. Answer honestly and try to offer some additional info about skills you do have. Relate your skills that you developed in school and how they could be applied to the job. Investigation, public speaking, condensing material, reinterpreting material, communication.
