The ordinary wrongdoing of adolescent girls: explaining female delinquency. Women have different goals compared to men: girls still subscribe to that idea of finding a partner, getting married, and having children, while the (cid:271)o(cid:455)"s goals are related to occupational success. Girls coming from problem homes can very easily be victimized. We also find amongst these girls that depression is a causal variable for them being there: depressed about their home situation, how they are conceptualized there, believe it is better on the streets. Research shows that with the introduction of the birth control pill depression rates in females has increased greatly. The more feminist a girl is the less delinquent they are likely to be. Girls who are more feminist in their approach have higher grades and succeed while being less likely to get pregnant. Inconclusive: but what we do know is that boys who want this masculine kind of image become real delinquents.
