The fundamental difficulty we have in perceiving the consciousness of others. There is no way of really knowing how another person id really thinking or feeling. We cannot tell if another persons experience is anything like your own. The issue of how the mind is related to the brain and body. The human body is a machine - the human mind or soul are separate. The brains activities precede the activities of the conscious mind. Intentionality: the quality of being directed toward an object. Unity: resistance to division, or the ability to integrate information from all of the body"s senses into one coherent whole. Selectivity: the capacity to include some objects but not others. Dichotic listening: in which people wearing headphones hear different messages in each ear.
