BLG 10A/B Chapter Notes - Chapter 2, 3: Respiratory Acidosis, Metabolic Acidosis, Integumentary System
Document Summary
Part 1 and 2 (part 1 is until december) Answers will be released before the midterms. Make a concept map of this chapter. Wait for the lecture on integumentary system to get some suggestions in making your map. Highlight which cells or parts that you are talking about. Should be an extraction of information; showing the most simple and accurate but scientific way. Expect one question about it on your midterm exam. Binds to salicylic acids and citric acids. Ph scale is logarithmic; each ph unit represents a 10-fold difference. A ph 5 solution is 10 times more acidic than a ph 6. Blood ph is 7. 4 (neutral ph) solution. Take strong acid (completely dissociated h+) and and make it a weaker acid (less dissociated) Take strong base (completely dissociated oh-) and and make it a weaker base (less dissociated) Weakly dissociated do not cause much biological issues in our body. Can be in monomer or polymer form.
