Late helladic which is known as the mycenaean age due to its citadel of power (mycenae). The minoan civilization grew to maturity in the middle bronze age and reached its pinnacle in the following period (1600-1400 bc). This is especially suggested by the myth of atlantis, where atlantis and attica battled for control when an earthquake and flood caused atlantis to disappear.
