Huaca de los sacrificios: 2903 bc radiocarbon date, first construction probably up to 200 years older (3100 bc) This was some 200-300 yrs before first egyptian pyramid. Central room divided by wall w/ clapboard pattern molded on outer surface, w/ t- shaped doorway. Next to it, but entered by a separate sys of hallways was a room w/ a central niche opposite the entryway w/ a bench/altar built up to level of base of niche. Idolos = at least 13 intentionally broken figurines found in 1 of the niches. Other offerings incl. yarn god"s eyes & colourful feather arrangement . Both huaca de los idolos & huaca de los sacrificios located in site called aspero. Aspero did have modest town around it, maybe enough to have built site over long period of time. Dates to very end of coastal pre-ceramic into next period (earliest date 2000 bc) 58ha complex w/ mounds up to 3 stories high.
