Belief engine by allock, examined the topic of human"s belief engine (allock, 1995; singer & benassi, Both articles discussed about the underlying mechanisms of the belief engine and provided various different factors that contributed to the stubbornness of these occult beliefs. Allock"s article provided 7 features to demonstrate the functioning of human"s belief system, with the claims that the system is mostly inborn and is inevitable (allock, 1995). Singer and benassi also display 4 aspects, but with the argument that the human belief system is mostly influenced by the outside world. Even though occult beliefs and superstitions are often generated with the influences of various kinds of external factors, the process of acquiring and keeping them are innate/ the ability to acquire and manipulate them is innate.
