Beliefs: are principles that people believe to be true. Bureaucracy: an organization of non-elected officials who implements the rules, law, and function of their institution. Counterculture: break some broader cultural expectations by developing their own sets of rules and norms and beliefs. Cults: it is derived from culture, are countercultural groups. Cultural relativism: is the practice of assessing a culture by its own standards rather than against the standards of one"s own culture. Culture: refers to the social structures and to the organization of people within the group that share these beliefs and practices. Ethnocentrism: evaluating and judging another culture based on how it compares to one"s own cultural values, beliefs and norms. Folkways: are norms that have less direct moral associations, and the consequences for breaking them are generally less severe, and it usually have to do with behavior in day-to-day practices. Formal norms: are established, written rules, and are often associated with more central cultural values.
