Sir gawain and the green knight, fitts 3 and 4: for three days, the lady comes alone to gawain"s bedroom and seems to be trying to seduce him. Gawain is laying in his bed (1179) As he starts to doze off he hears a little noise at his door and it is stealthily opened. He raised his head from the bedclothes. The lady comes in looking her loveliest, she shuts the door carefully not making a sound. Gawain is confused and lays down pretending to sleep. Gawain pretends to sleep for a long while. He thought to himself that it would be more fitting to discover what she wants straightway. He opens his eyes and pretends to be surprised. She greets him good morning and states that they must make a truce otherwise she shall imprison. Gawain greets her good morning and jokes that she can do whatever she wishes to do with him.
