Intervenion can be jusiied when it interferes with funcioning and causes suicient discomfort. Must produce marked distress/ interfere with normal rouine/ Youths will try and avoid the situaion or object they fear funcioning. Social phobia/ social anxiety disorder marked or persistent fear of acing in an embarrassing or humiliaing way in social or performance. Selecive muism those who do not talk in speciic social situaions, youths speak in other situaions though.
