Private sector: can be further broken down into the commercial and voluntary sectors. Economy has 3 broad service sectors: public sector, commercial sector, voluntary sector. All 3 focus on the enhancement of well-being but are organized, funded and managed in their own distinct ways. A forth sector is emerging: social economy. Social economy a community based sector that is entrepreneurial and yet non-profit in nature. Strong ties to the voluntary sector, it aims to strengthen communities through entrepreneurial activities and improve conditions for disadvantaged groups. Public sector includes the federal, provincial and territorial and municipal governemnts which use tax or public revenus to develop, monitor and deliever programs and services. Commercial sector is profit motivated and sell services to consumers for full market price.
