Scalability: more users can be added easily without affecting the performance of the other network nodes ex. Most common type of client/server networks in business: Lan (local area network): small group of computers/peripherals linked over a small geographic area ex. Wan (wide area network): many users over a wide physical area/separate lans in 2 cities. Intranet: a private network set up by a business/organization used by a group of employees, customers, suppliers, volunteers, supporters.
