Sexual assault: any form of sexual activity forced on another person or non consensual bodily contact for a sexual purpose. Sexual assault has replaced the word rape. No statue of limitations can go after however many years and press charges. A central issue in determining whether an assault has occurred (especially at level 1) is whether it occurred freely - have to be able to give consent. People (cid:272)a(cid:374) (cid:271)e (cid:272)harged (cid:449)ith se(cid:454)ual assault if the(cid:455) do(cid:374)(cid:859)t dis(cid:272)lose their hiv status to partners. Level 1: any form of sexual activity forced on another person, or non-consensual bodily contact for a sexual purpose. Involves minor physical injury or no injury to the victim punishable up to 10 years in prison. Level 3: a sexual assault that wounds, maims or disfigures the victims or endangers the victims life, conviction for a level 3 sexual assault is punishable by up to life in prison.
