Document Summary
Intermitent reinforcement: an arrangement in which a behavior is posiively reinforced only occasionally (intermitently), rather than evert ime it occurs. Response rate: refers to the number of instances of a behavior that had occurred in a given period of ime (synonymous with response frequency) Schedule of reinforcement: is a rule specifying which occurrences of a behavior, if any, will be reinforced. The simplest schedule of reinforcement in coninuous reinforcement (crf) which i an arrangement in which each instance of a paricular response is reinforced. The opposite of crf is operant exincion, which no instance on a given behavior is reinforced. Intermitent reinforcement is common in the natural environment, as not all behaviors are reinforced every ime. Acquisiion phase: when a behavior is being condiioned or learned.
