Most aspects of leadership style have a primarily genetic origin: transformational leadership style was more related to genetics than transactional. 30% of leadership role occupancy can be explained by genetics. Transformational leadership showed a significant positive correlation with conscientiousness, extraversion and openness to experience. Nigel nicholson on the other hand says that, (cid:498)as every parent with more than one child knows, each is born different and stays different(cid:499: believes that by our (cid:884)(cid:882)"s are traits are likely fixed. Susan greenfield says that genes make things possibly but nurture can still trump nature. People with a dopamine based gene display significantly greater transformational leadership. Competencies are attributes of the individual that are causally related to effective or superior performance in a job.
