Elaborate rehearsal: prolonged exposure to information and thinking about its meaning. Elaborate rehearsal is a very effective, matching images in the mid and repeating. Different levels of encoding can create levels of effectiveness. Shallow processing: properties that are superficial, sounds of words. Deep processing: based on the meaning of an object or its functioning. A lot more likely to remember deep processing. Self-reference effect: remembering information if it"s useful to use in your daily life. Survival processing: remembering information because it will help you survive.
