Crisis/culture shock stage between 6 and 18 months, participants in a study typically experienced the most negative feelings of their sojourn: experiences become tiring and difficult, homesickness can be quite strong. Culture shock the feeling of being anxious, helpless, irritable, and homesick that one experiences on moving to a new culture.
