Homicide is a routine part of life in the usa. First step in understanding the high homicide rate in the usa is to assemble the data on homicide, cross nationally, and historically. The extent to which a social condition in one country occurs at a similar or different rate in others. Reveal how much change has occurred over time within a single society. Science is the art of asking questions. Understanding a phenomenon (i. e. homicide) depends on the questions asked. Nearly all homicides involve arguments over dinner, sex, or drug deals gone bad, etc. Most homicides are irrational, impulsive acts, crimes of passion. People make choices in their lives, some with grave consequences. The greater a person"s frustration and the more one has been socialized to violence, the more likely one is to commit murder . Frustration occurs when people find their goals blocked, especially when this blockage appears to be intentional, unjustified, and unexpected.
