Social media and flemish sports reporters: a multimethod analysis of twitter use as journalistic tool. The twitter content (tweets), profiles and followings of flemish sports journalists. To make it quantitative tweets must be coded. The tweets are coded according to certain categories. We"re interested in how journalists (in this case sports journalists) use twitter. Twitter and sport reporting: twitter can help journalists support information search, dissemination (publishing), profiling (branding) and conversing (dialogue) Media and sport: raises concerns of gender, national identity, race and globalisation. Journalism studies: use of social media in the newsroom and impact of social media on journalistic practices, sports communication and professionalism. Multimethod research approach to examine the content of tweets,, the followings and the profiles of sports journalists. Combined classic content analysis of tweets with analysing their followings and their twitter profile. Content analysis: research technique used to make inferences by interpreting and coding textual material.
