Forms solid tumours: leukemia: cancer of the blood-forming parts of the body, particularly in the bone marrow and spleen. Non-solid tumour characterized by an abnormal increase in white blood cells. Warning signs/symptoms: persistent breast changes such as lump, thickening, swelling, irritation, shape change, pain, tenderness family history, post-menopausal obese women, etc. are also key to note. Prevention: regular physical activity: mammography (most effective for early detection) self-examination. Prostate cancer: most common cancer in men, warning signs: mostly nonspecific and hard to distinguish, wear or interrupted urine flow, difficulty stopping or starting urine flow, blood in urine, and other urine-related difficulties.
