The legislative branch: the house of commons. Commons is referred to as the house of confidence, thus meaning it has the power to make the government fall. The bills come from the house of commons, the policies are put together by the executive found in the house. Question period is for politicians to show themselves to the public; not a very meaningful conversation and answers are not always given directly. The party politics are shown off more clearly, not answer period/it"s question period. Former mp"s say that in committees far from cameras; have better relationships and conversations. The members of parliament: "nobodies" away from the hill. The member of parliament is just a rubber stamper of bills in highly disciplined environments. He or she needs to work to it"s constituency. They have constituency work, house of commons work, and cabinet work. There is not way to ensure an egalitarian representation of cutting the country into ridings.
