Youth travel takes part in a particular form in regard to the life course. Youth mobility has often been identified with general development of extended youth and a delayed transition into adulthood. In opposite, adulthood is deemed as stable: emerging adulthood however, does not take into consideration the importance of structural factors that are key factors in shaping roles and identities. These differences (cid:449)ere see(cid:374) as (cid:862)(cid:272)hoi(cid:272)es(cid:863) (cid:271)ut others see the(cid:373) as rea(cid:272)tio(cid:374)s to the tra(cid:374)sfor(cid:373)atio(cid:374) of society with its ambiguities and uncertainties as persons are freely choosing their transitions and experiencing with identities. Important to note that financial independence is now harder to achieve (think of your parents) thus rather than entering a new stage, they are trying to cope with these changes. Emergent mobilities: resear(cid:272)her"s e(cid:373)phasize the interaction between structural shifts, uncertainty and individualization as part of travel and mobility but associate it with wide range of ages and not simply just youth.
