Document Summary
Sometimes, as a result of stroke (a blockage of blood vessels in the brain that leads to cell death), tumors, head injury, or other trauma, an area of the brain becomes damaged. In many of these cases, damage to a specific brain region leads to a loss of particular mental or bodily function. Average brain consists of 100 billion (100,00,00,00) neurons. Each neuron is connected to other neurons-1000 to 10,000 others. Ponzo illusion: the ponzo illusion is a geometrical-optical illusion that was first demonstrated by the italian psychologist mario ponzo (1882 1960) in, he suggested that the human mind judges an object"s size based on its background. Kanizsa illusion: the kanizsa triangle illusion was first described in 1955 by an italian psychologist named gaetano kanizsa. In the illusion, a white equilateral triangle can be seen in the image even though there is not actually a triangle there. The effect is caused by illusory or subject contours.
